THE FIGHTWEAR GUIDE

CHOOSE FOR THE WAY YOU MOVE.

What to consider before choosing MMA shorts, from movement and waistband fit to event rules and the information on a product page.

01

What makes a useful pair of MMA shorts?

Start with your training: striking, grappling or a mixture. Look at how the garment lets you move, how it stays in place, and which hard or exposed details could cause trouble during partner work. A product title alone does not confirm suitability.

  • Check the actual waist and garment measurements.
  • Look for the stated closure, seam and split construction.
  • Read the confirmed materials and care instructions.
02

Fit is a movement question

You should be able to move through the positions your training asks of you. Compare your waist, hips and preferred outseam with the finished garment’s measurements. Size names differ between brands, and a size chart from another label cannot establish this brand’s fit.

03

Training and competition are different checks

For organized competition, check the rules that apply to that event and commission. The Association of Boxing Commissions publishes unified MMA rules, but revisions and adoption dates vary. Do not assume any general-purpose shorts are approved for your bout.

04

Know what you are buying

Before ordering, confirm the listed price, actual measurements, fibre composition, product images, availability, delivery terms and returns information. Campaign artwork can explain a brand’s direction, but should not replace those details.

05

Where this collection stands

The MMA Shorts first collection is in development. No competition approval, performance certification, fabric specification or sizing range is claimed for the campaign studies. Approved details will arrive with the catalogue.

Rules reference: Association of Boxing Commissions unified rules. Confirm the revision adopted by your event.
